A flat out lie, judging from intelligence reports to the contrary.
"Al Qaeda would have been a heck of a lot stronger today had we not stayed on the offense."Easy to say. Impossible to prove; impossible to disprove. But again, very unlikely. Reports indicate al Qaeda has gotten better due to the practice they've gotten fighting our soldiers, and their "propaganda" techniques are improving.
Update 7/18/07:
The simple fact is that the full picture is now clear. The White House was repeatedly warned in advance that attacking Iraq would strengthen al Qaeda. We did and it did. That's where we are now. The White House has no excuse and no answer.See why at TPM
