It's Not Viet Nam

Watching a documentary about Lady Bird Johnson yesterday, it struck me that George Bush is right when he denies comparison between Viet Nam and Iraq. Perhaps the biggest, if not only, difference comes right from the White House.

Here's Lyndon Johnson in the midst of the Viet Nam quagmire (listening to a tape from his son-in-law who was serving over there, while Lyndon's daughter was pregnant with his first grandchild).

And here's George Bush in the midst of the Iraq quagmire, making us aware of malaria.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
