Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told the Chicago Tribune June 10 that he had a "gut feeling" the United States faces an increased chances of a threat in the next month and a half in part because he said Islamic terrorists tend to stage attacks during the summer.[...]
"These things give me kind of a gut feeling, not that I have a specific threat that I have in mind right now, but we are entering a period of increased vulnerability," Chertoff said.
Chertoff's gut wasn't so good at predicting Katrina.
But, at any rate, I was wondering....if Chertoff's gut tells him about the level of terror threat, would that make it a yellow alert?
