Shaha Riza, After the World Bank

Joe Cannon has some interesting speculation on another reason why Wolfowitz might have given his girlfriend Shaha Riza a huge raise to leave the World Bank and go work with Cheney's daughter at "The Foundation for the Future", in which he tells us that The Foundation (translates to al Qaeda in Arabic, he says) hasn't really done anything with its multi-millions of dollars in the two years it's been in operation. The Foundation has plans, however, to open a branch office in Beirut.

At that point, Joe takes a look at two rich and powerful Lebanese families, connected to drugs (I told you - that's always in the picture) and....the Bush family. Surprise!

One of the Lebanese wrote a book in which he called George W. the Messiah. You figure it out. Another, Joe says, has been linked to the Skyway drug plane.

An FBI agent, Darlene Novinger, made a drug case against one of the Lebanese families which she claimed was "deep-sixed by the Bush family." It seems, from a little Googling, that she went public with some information she had about young George and Jeb and a cocaine deal in 1987, after which, her husband was murdered. Her father died after she appeared on a radio show in 1993, and Darlene herself died of cancer early in 2003.
