So, while we're at it, let's just bury the UN...Saudi Arabia is defying the United States, the European Union and Australia by resisting U.N. efforts to verify that it has no nuclear assets worth inspecting, according to a confidential EU document obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday.
There is little concern the Saudis are trying to make nuclear arms, but Riyadh's resistance to inspections adds another worry for a top-level meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency this week that is focusing on North Korea and Iran.
We live in a bogus world, Mr. Reynolds.America's contribution to the United Nations next year would be cut by $22 million under legislation approved by the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.[...]
UN figures show the United States was assessed this year $439.6 million for the regular U.N. administrative budget and it still owes that amount, plus $240.5 million for previous years. This excludes U.S. contributions to peacekeeping, international tribunals, the capital master plan and donations to various U.N. agencies.
You simply cannot give a man a gun and expect any good to come from it.The United Nations has been investigating over the last year child abuse by UN peacekeepers in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
