Flippety-flop

I thought Clinton was supposed to be the big waffler.

[December 9:] When the Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao, meets the US President, George Bush, in Washington today he will find a notably more restrained leader than the newly elected president of three years ago who vowed to do "all that it takes" to defend Taiwan and offered the island modern destroyers and submarines to protect itself against China.

....However, according to a Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister, Zhou Wenzhong, Mr Wen will directly ask Mr Bush to state that the US "opposed" Taiwan independence, rather than the current position that Washington "did not support" it.

Big difference. BIG difference. Sure.

Double-face strikes again.

Vowed to do all it takes to catch Osama and Saddam, too. I don't think he knows the meaning of the word "vow".

Now, of course, is not then, and now, he is "not supporting" Taiwan independence. They should thank their lucky stars. Ask Iraqis how he supports freedom.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
