Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, has proposed Vladimir Putin, the current prime minister, as presidential candidate for 2012, almost certainly guaranteeing Putin's return to office.
Do you get the feeling that when Putin left, endorsing Medvedev, there was a deal made between the two of them to just alternate stints in office and that in a few years, Medvedev will be back?
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
