U.S. No Longer a Safe Haven for Political Refugees?

A Canadian judge has ruled that the U.S. is not a safe refuge for those seeking political asylum. The ruling comes in a case involving whether an asylum seeker coming to Canada via the U.S. may still seek asylum in Canada, or whether they are presumed to have already gotten a fair bite at the apple in the U.S.
