The latest National Intelligence Estimate concluding that Iran discontinued its nuclear weapons program four years ago has claimed one casualty: CNN has postponed speculative documentary "We Were Warned -- Iran Goes Nuclear."[...]
In its place, CNN will this weekend air two Campbell Brown-hosted specials on the Iran situation and its history. Portions of "We Were Warned" correspondent Frank Sesno's original reporting will be incorporated into those hours, which air Saturday and Sunday.
God forbid they should air a program about fixing intelligence around policy, or the administration's misuse and abuse of it.
The problem Christians have with Mormons is that they call themselves Christians...as Romney does. The Mormon's teachings are far removed from the teachings of the Bible even though the Mormons use some of the same names and terminology.
ReplyDeleteThe top 2 differences in my opinion....
The Mormon view of God and Jesus is radically different from the Bible.
The Mormons discount the Bible's authority and rely on their own writings.
You don't have to be a Christian or even religous to compare the Mormon doctrines to orthodox Chritian doctrines and see that they are by no means even close to being what is classically described as Christian.
i think you have placed your comment on the wrong post....but, what's your point?
ReplyDeleteyou're correct...wrong post.
ReplyDeleteI was referring to the one above...it started with this comment
"It finally became necessary for Twit Romney to address the issue of his religious faith, since a huge block of voters in the country are Christian Taliban. How'd he do?"
My point is that Christians have a legitimate complaint. Romney is NOT a Christian. He is a Mormon. There is a BIG difference between the two. Romney is trying to blur the distinction because most Americans don't have a clue about Mormon doctrine. If they knew about all the wacky things that Mormons believe, he wouldn't have a snowball's chance at becoming president.
Trying to lump Mormonism in with Christianity is deceptive and only serves to shut down debate about what it is exactly that Romney believes.
i see.
ReplyDeleteunless what romney believes as matters of faith prevent him from fulfilling the duties of president as set forth in the constitution, there shouldn't be any debate about what he believes.
on the other hand, i you needn't worry, because i'm pretty sure that even though people don't know all the "wacky" things mormons believe, there's no shortage of "christian" opposition to the mormon religion. have no fear: thankfully, romney really doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of becoming president. sadly, it's probably not because he's a boob, but because he's a mormon.
i'd put these comments with the intended post if it were a simple fix. alas, not so. at least not simple enough.
thanks for reading and commenting.
