An Iowa county coordinator volunteering for the Hillary Clinton campaign has been forwarding a Barack Obama fear smear email trying to scare people into believing he’s a Muslim who will be working to destroy this country from the inside if elected president. Clinton’s internet director claimed the campaign was unaware of it, and the campaign did indeed denounce it when it became news. However…it may not be true that they didn’t know.

Ben Smith at the Politico has acquired a copy of the email itself and discovered that it was also sent to a Clinton campaign staffer. Which means the campaign knew that one of their country chairs was sending this around.
