Rice demands an apology

Sudan's foreign minister has apologised over the manhandling of US officials and journalists at a meeting between Condoleezza Rice, US secretary of state, and the Sudanese president.

Sudanese officials had shoved US journalists away from the meeting and slammed the wooden doors to the presidential palace in their faces.

Some US officials were also blocked for several minutes before being allowed in.

May have spoiled their chances at getting sanctions lifted.

Now the U.S. will apologize for manhandling Iraqi assemblyman Fatah al-Shaik, perhaps. Nicola Calipari won't be getting his.
