Tar Baby's plan for cutting the deficit

President Bush will call for a near-freeze in the overall growth of government spending not connected to national defense to try to rein in record deficits, a senior administration official said on Tuesday.

Of course the "national defense" spending he's talking about is war money. So you know where your tax money is going.

Perhaps it's time taxpayers get to designate to which programs they want their money going.
