The long slide down

(I wonder if anyone is telling Butthead that Greenspan is telling Congress there is no Social Security crisis.)
The U.S. dollar fell Thursday against the euro despite upbeat comments this week from U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan on the state of the U.S. economy.

And, in the real world, it will continue to do what it has to do according to the laws of finance and physics, regardless of how "upbeat" Greenspan or anyone else handing out sleeping pills to the American public talks about it.

To quote a famous president: "You can call it anything you want. I would call it an adjustment to reality."
