One must make concessions, eh?

Iraqi Shia leader Muqtada al-Sadr asked his fighters to cease their uprising on Wednesday in what may mark the end of a 10-week revolt against US-led forces that once engulfed the southern part of the country.

...The call came a day after President George Bush said the United States would not oppose a political role for al-Sadr, only weeks after branding him an ''anti-democratic thug''.

But, we don't negotiate with thugs, do we? Please tell me dear leader isn't going soft.

Dan Senor, spokesman for the US-led administration in Iraq, suggested al-Sadr caved in to US military pressure and Shia clerics who brokered a truce between his army and American forces.

"He is seeking to save face."

But of course. We were whoopin' his ass, weren't we?

An anti-democratic thug. Let me get on the Oaf's juvenile level with him here: It takes one to know one.
