Bye bye Rumsfiend?

U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld ordered an Iraqi prisoner be held "off the books,'' hidden from the International Red Cross and anyone else, NBC News reported, citing unidentified Pentagon officials.

Rumsfeld passed the order on to Army Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, the commander of U.S. troops in Iraq, NBC said in a story posted on the MSNBC Web site. It's the first direct link between Rumsfeld and possible violations of prisoner rights in Iraq, NBC said.

...The Central Intelligence Agency flew the prisoner to an undisclosed location outside of Iraq for interrogation, which the Justice Department four months later said might be illegal, NBC reported.

When the prisoner was returned to Iraq in October, Rumsfeld ordered him to be kept locked up and "off the books,'' NBC said. An Army investigation into prisoner abuse in Iraq found that hiding prisoners from the Red Cross is deceptive and a violation of international law, NBC said. Unidentified Pentagon officials told NBC that Rumsfeld acted legally.

Of course, if the order actually originated with the Preznit, we now know it was in fact legal - according to the Dept. of Justice attorneys who have declared the president God. And so....I'm going to have to guess that it did in fact get the Oaf's signature, since Secretary of Defense has not yet been declared Christ and would be performing an illegal act if he gave the order himself.

I wonder who squealed.

The rats are no longer just abandoning ship, they're attacking each other. I've heard they'll do that when caged together.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
