Unprofessional and Unnecessary

After President Barack Obama's surprise visit to the White House briefing room Tuesday, press secretary Robert Gibbs took back the mic with a show-stealing joke at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's expense.

"I wrote a few things down," Gibbs began, showing reporters that he had some scrawled notes on his left palm — a clear reference to Palin's makeshift cheat-sheet at the National Tea Party Convention last weekend.

"I wrote eggs, milk, bread," Gibbs joked, adding that he crossed out "bread" and "wrote down hope and change in case I forgot."

I find Sarah Palin virtually intolerable, but she gets way too much press as it is. You simply can't avoid seeing something about her every day. What's that the Hollywood agents say about press? There is no such thing as bad press. I hope she's just a distraction and not really a serious possibility for future president. Gibbs' mocking remarks make it seem as though they are afraid she is a force to contend with. And it is simply unseemly for the president's spokesperson to be mocking anyone. I've thought that this Gibbs guy is kind of an ass, and this confirms it.

First lady Michelle Obama took a pass when asked her opinion of Sarah Palin during Larry King Live Tuesday night.

"I try not to set opinions about people that I haven't had a substantive interaction with," the first lady said.

And good for her.

  1. I guess Palin does not understand satire and she complains about telaprompters, what a hypocrite. Palin’s hand job just shows all of us what kind of dullard we are up against, I have not seen this since junior high. She is so perfect for "Fake News". WOW and some call her a leader….please.

  2. i'm having trouble taking it in. it's as though it can't be real because it's so absurd. but then, that's pretty much the whole of the world these days. we will have all the proof we need that we have indeed passed into a waking nightmare of absurdity and darkness if we find ourselves one day with president palin.

fake news is perfect for fake reality.

thanks for reading and thanks for your comments.
