Whichever comes first.
I was hoping that our idiot governor's showboating at a tea party would pass with the day's non-news. Alas, it was not to be.
Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.
But then, Tom Delay got into the act.
”Texas as a Republic joined the Union by treaty. There's a process in the Treaty by which Texas could divide into five states. If we invoke that, the gov ... the United States Senate would kick us out and nullify the Treaty. They're not going to allow ten new Texas senators into the Senate. That's how you secede ..."
And an actual poll showing 18% of Texans would vote to secede.
“At the most basic levels, the Reasmussen poll indicates all of the teabaggers who hollered and shouted for joy during Perry’s repeated call for secession represent an extreme minority of the state at 18%,” wrote Matt Glazer at the Burnt Orange Report. “It further shows just how out of touch the organizers of this Republican press stunt really are.”
And, finally, the state has gone where it perhaps belongs – to ridicule – on sale on eBay.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
