Airline passengers are still being served contaminated water despite an earlier warning, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revealed.
A second round of tests conducted by the EPA showed that 17.2 per cent of 169 randomly selected passenger aircraft carried water contaminated with total coliform bacteria, an agency release said.
The latest round of tests were performed on domestic and international passenger aircraft at airports nationwide in November and December 2004, the EPA said yesterday.
