[Russ] Feingold has introduced a constitutional amendment to take away the power of governors to fill Senate vacancies and vest that power in the voters via a special election.
And we are just learning that a deal was made to allow Judd Gregg to accept a position in the Obama administration. Not much different in substance than what Blagojevich got run out of town for, really, is it? Fixing a Senate seat is worse if money changes hands than if favors do?
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
