From the FAQ page:According to a press release posted on the website this week, the 62-year-old New Yorker has laid out a few positions, but doesn't plan any active campaigning until he completes some acting obligations.
"Mr. Walken has greatly admired the celebrities who have entered politics and he wants to be able to give a good name and reputation to the acting community as well as the political community," his agent Toni Howard is quoted as saying. "As for going national with this news, we have not made any plans for the immediate future."
Mr. Walken believes that voters should vote based on the candidates' platforms, not their party affiliation. At this early stage, we are not affiliated with any political party, nor do we plan to be. Our platform is our message, and that's what we're running on. Down the road, if an established party chooses to back Mr. Walken, he may accept.
"I don't need to be made to look evil. I can do that on my own."
My opinion: stick to acting, Chris.
I don't know how qualified he might be. Not very, if he thinks he actually has a chance at the job. But I do know one thing: it would be nearly impossible for him to have a worse performance than the idiot there now.
....and hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
P.S. My favorite Chris Walken performance was Puss. (Gabriel comes in second.)
