Twisting arms doesn't seem to work any more

Update on that resolution to exempt Americans from war crimes: We've dropped it altogether apparently - even that ridiculous idea of extending it for only another year.

Deputy Ambassador James Cunningham said Wednesday the United States was dropping the resolution to "avoid a prolonged and divisive debate."

...The previous resolution had been unanimously approved two years ago after the Bush administration threatened to cut off funding for peacekeeping operations.

The bully seems to be in a bit of a bind these days.
